I have debadged, then rebadged cuz I didn't want people to think I had a "1.8T" inferiority complex, then debadged since I truly like the look better. Whether I had a 3.0 or 1.8T, I'd debadge either way.

Almost every car on the road from VWs to Porsches are debadged in Europe. When I took a trip to Ingolstadt last year there were even cars rolling out of the delivery bay debadged. It's actually a factory option on German models.
It seems to be a trend in The States that people are fixated on what their car says on the back of it even though those little pieces of metal serve no real function.
