Default Decided on B6 1.8T but which drive AWD or 2WD??

Thanks you guys for all your help on giving me pros and cons on the B5 S4 and the B6 A4. Now I need to choose on AWD or 2WD. I am mainly using this car for work and comuting but I like the performance side of cars too. How much slower is the AWD compared to the 2WD? Im sure the AWD weighs a bit more. I basically what a nice performance luxury car that I can play with from timt to time. I live in Central Florida so Im not sure the AWD is necessary. Please give me your info on these models. THANKS again!

Default I've owned both... quattro is not just about traction in winter weather...

My first A4 was FWD, and although it was a blast to drive, Quattro would have been better.

Quattro helps you on wet pavement, as well as cornering on dry pavement. Yes it's a bit heavier and you will get some power-train loss of HP, but it's hardly noticeable if at all.

My new A4 has quattro, and I can feel a difference during cornering. As well, it's kinda hard to exlain, but while driving straight on the highway at high speeds, it just feels more stable and planted, if that makes any sense.

Default FWD, if you want more out of..

performance, and you live in florida, Quattro is not needed. I have quattro but i live in Jersey.

for your situation you just need FWD.

but as you probably already know most of the quattro owners will say quattro and most of the FWD owners will say FWD.

If you plan on chipping, go quattro. FWD gives tq steer and CVT dies.
