I hand wash my car once a week and wax maybe once a month using mothers carnuaba wax and an oscilating buffer.
i dont know much about polishing and i heard it works better than wax for adding shine and getting rid of swirl marks.
is polishing and waxing the same. how do i polish my car and what do i use to do it?
thanks

You should wash, polish then wax.
Polish is ment to smooth out and restore the surface while giving it a good shine.
Wax is a protective layer ontop.

Use a good polish like 3M Imperial Glaze to remove light scratches and bring back the lustre of the paint and then once you're happy with the finish wax with a good quality wax like Blitz. Takes some elbow grease but the results are worth it.
