I've had my speakers replaced 4 times already, but my speakers still sound like they are blown. I get a lot of buzzing and sound cutting in and out. I'm pretty sure the speakers are not the problem. Seems like there's a loose connection somewhere. I've already taken it to two different dealers and no one seems to know how to fix this problem. It is only on my driver's side door.
any help??

and hope it doesn't come back--that's what I've seen done in every case I'm aware of.

I just had my '02 in for the 40k service last week and had them look at the driver's side speaker. Of course, they couldn't duplicate the problem but they did reference a TSB for this issue and installed felt, lubed contact points, etc. I'm at work so I don't have the invoice with me now but they tore apart *all* door speakers I believe, not just the driver's side.

There is a tech service bulletin regarding wiring issues.
1st Time at dealer showed advisor the bulletin & tried to give it to him but said he didn't need it. So they do a factory reset of radio and tell me it's fixed. Also mechanic damaged my cupholder in the process.
2nd Time they tell me I need speaker. After a long wait for backordered speaker it was replaced. Shortly afterwards problem returns and is significantly worse than before. I will be bringing to another dealer and have them check the wiring.
Someone posted the TSB quite a while back in 2004 or earlier.

I tried bringing up the wiring harness as the fault, they refuse to replace it unless they can see the problem reproduced... which I've tried 3 times. All 3 times they either pumped up the volume and got rid of the problem, or they slammed the door shut and got rid of the problem. Its a total hassle trying to time the occurance of the problem and keeping from touching the car.
Part of the problem is that with enough vibrations, or enough volume, the problem may go away. Intermittent problems suck.

The only that helped was working on the wiring harness. I'm not sure if they replaced or just secured it. Whatever they did, worked for a couple of months. Now it's back and it's driving me nuts!!!!
