A Disapointing Story

I am a proud owner of a '00 1.8 turbo A4. Knowing how pleased I am with the car and being a fellow German car enthusiast my father decided to order my mother the '02 3.0 A4. To make a long story short, my parents did not except delivery. The paint which I know is difficult (Ming Blue) looked like someone buffed it with a sandstone, the cup holder did not open, and the leather on the steering wheel was torn. The icing on the cake however was the machine screw that was lodged in the front driverside tire, which when removed caused the tire to go flat in less than 5 minutes. Needless to say the dealership has been more than accomidating in the matter and is ordering a brand new car. My question is has anyone else encountered problems like my parents are facing and how careful are people being with these new cars????

Someone else here was posting yesterday about how a dealer service guy drove another car into his while it was being prepped! Fortunately everything when smoothly for me and the dealer even drove my car back from the port. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Maybe they can get the next one quicker.

I took delivery of my '02 A4 in November. The FM radio reception was non-existent and there were scrathes (etch marks from a razor blade) all over the rear door window.
The radio got fixed (new radio) and so did the window (new window from factory). Haven't had a problem since then, other than a litle rattle from the engine vibration at 2100 rpms.

at delivery, they move the car into this tight space by the side of the dealer, didnt realise metal pillars were by the side of the car in excitement and bang, luckily, small tiny nick which when rubbed, the ming blue totally hides
