Default It's one magazine test with one car. Too many variables to call it 100% accurate...

Audi claims 6.9 for a 3.0Q 6spd and historically their published times are fairly accurate, so I'm willing to buy that. Other mags also have tested the car in the 7.0 second range.

Coming from a '98 2.8QMS, my 3.0 is noticably faster in all aspects (especially low end torque). It takes time to break in the car, and like the others have said, mine really came alive after 3000 miles. Go drive one and see for yourself, it's a great car with plenty of power.

Is this because it takes the turbo longer to spool with the chip?

Default C&D and some Euro mags show numbers that support the Audi figure. Nevertheless, I have 2 words ...

for everyone. Break in. My 3.0L feels much better at 3,500 miles than it did at 2,000 miles and at 2,000 miles if felt a lot better than it did at 1,000.

I have no doubt that the Audi figures are correct.

0-60 vs. 0-100 difference maybe.

Default I Disagree

While there is turbo lag, with and without the chip,,,,the chip still provides more torque period.

Default They should try testing after the 1st 1000 miles.

I thought this was BS becuase I had just bought my first Audi but the car really does "loosen up" after the first 1000 as far as accelleration goes.

The 330i auto only took 6.5 sec; I guess BMW's don't need to break in.
