Disappointing 3.0 Engine Acceleration?

Audi claims 6.9 for a 3.0Q 6spd and historically their published times are fairly accurate, so I'm willing to buy that. Other mags also have tested the car in the 7.0 second range.
Coming from a '98 2.8QMS, my 3.0 is noticably faster in all aspects (especially low end torque). It takes time to break in the car, and like the others have said, mine really came alive after 3000 miles. Go drive one and see for yourself, it's a great car with plenty of power.

for everyone. Break in. My 3.0L feels much better at 3,500 miles than it did at 2,000 miles and at 2,000 miles if felt a lot better than it did at 1,000.
I have no doubt that the Audi figures are correct.

I thought this was BS becuase I had just bought my first Audi but the car really does "loosen up" after the first 1000 as far as accelleration goes.
