My Audi dealership over here in the uk, seems as though it doesn't.....
i mentioned the chipping issue to the general manager..and he gave me this mortified look....
i searched through the forums and came across a few posts mentioning the fact some dealers do sell them.....isn't this a bit of a oxymoron when it comes to dealing with the warranty???
I can't understand why the warranty is invalidated if the chip installed came from a audi dealership????
or am i getting my knickers in a twist over nothing?

those that it was "designed" for.
Now of course, the engines should easily take them without too much hassle, but it adds another variable which audi doesnt have to or want to pay for.
It greatly effects performance and engine running characteristics, if that causes problems, why should audi have to pay for it?
Thats their thought process.

maybe i am phrasing it wrong......
diesel engines are not prone to as much wear and tear as say a petrol engine?
i say this, as i have a 2.5 V6 TDI, but i am scared ****less the engine will go kaput!
Whats the longest a person has had a chip in their audi on this forum, could be any audi....
Any problems so far?

on the other hand?
In any case, it's not the engine that you should worry too much about - it's the turbo itself, in which case it does not matter whether it's a gasoline turbo or a turbo diesel.

that's why they are so torquey, and also rely basically on detonation to fire. Diesels don't have spark plugs - compression causes the mix to fire.

It might change your mind about going hog-wild with a superchip.
In fact, here it is:<ul><li><a href="http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0BUX/12_31/67001087/p1/article.jhtml?term=Audi+A4+chip">http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0BUX/12_31/67001087/p1/article.jhtml?term=Audi+A4+chip</a</li></ul>
