Yes, Quattro please!!!
I wouldn't get a car with front wheel drive. It has to be either an AWD or Rear Wheel Drive. Front wheel drive produces torque steer and are no fun to drive. Rear wheel drive (50/50 weight distribution like BMW, unlike Mustang) are fun to drive, and AWD is very safe.
Yes, Quattro is slower due to weight increase.
Go for the Quattro. Mine is, along with 80% of Audis sold.
I'm in Wellington, where are you? Look for Eric Griffiths at Braman Audi (West Palm Beach), best service and price ever, be careful with Champion Audi.

It's up to your personal driving style and tastes.....I personally don't like how FWD feels in the
turns, and having AWD in wet conditions is awesome. It's going to take a lot for me to give up AWD on my next car. So, yes you don't "NEED" it, but once you driven with it for a while, it's hard to not "WANT" it anymore.
