little bit at least. It's just like your body if you are/were a runner.
Don't just start running 100% sprint right after sitting down for 10 minutes.
Ease into it and don't punish it until it's good and ready.
Just advice, you can experiment... But I would at the very least drive around the block after an aggressive run before parking it.
Cool down is more up to you than warm up. The ECU will prevent you from going full-out if the engine is too cold.

0-30w synthetic as I heard it is made to flow quickly throught he engine on start ups.. and if the temp gauge is already up to normal temp.. why warm-up???

below 1000 rpm, then drive under 4K rpm for 7-8 minutes while engine temp stabilizes.
If the car has only been shut down for 10 minutes, then it is still at operating temp and should be ready to haul at your command.
As others have noted, smooth progresive throttle movements extract the maximum performance. And for the max thrill in acceleration keep the rpms above 4K. At least in the 3.0, the car has a different character in the top 2500 rpm of its range. But nothing without a price - you will pay at the pump.
These simple observations seem to be working for me. My cumulative 3.0 computed mpg is 22.9 since reset at 500 mi (avg. over last 8600 mi.) And I went 8400 mi without adding oil - the add light still hadn't lit so possibly could have eeked out 9000.

The Audis are equipted with a secondary water pump that runs off the batteryu and continues to circulate coolant through the engine after the engine has been shut down.
