Default Does adding the RNS-E nav unit lower the audio system performance, coming from Bose?

I'd like to get the RNS-E system but since I listen to my Phatnoise the most I don't want to loose sound quality performance.

Will the Bose amp keep the sound levels/quality the same?

Anyone with RNS-E notice a difference?

Default If on the new Audi's you can order navi and bose...

I don't see why it would be any different, unless I'm missing something.

Are all the RNS-E units Bose coded? If so then that answers my question.

Default Sound should be better

A lot of people on the forums have noted that their system sounded better with the RNS-E and Bose than their Symphony II did. I've had my RNS-E since February and I think it sounds better. Better speakers would make a huge difference.

Default They say the RNS-E has more power

I don't have Bose but most people seem to think that the sound quality is at least as good as before.

I came from a Chorus and have absolutely no regrets. I don't use a Phatbox/Phatnoise but am always either using the SD cards or 6 disk changer.

Default Sound quality MUCH better than stock Bose! Check out sources for units on www.navplus.us

several good/reliable sellers of the RNS-E in the US. Beware eBay, it may or may not be flashed with the US software, and you may or may not get the correct wiring harness adaptors.

Proxus, SteveZ1 are two names that come to mind, although Proxus currently has a HUGE waiting list. I got my A6 unit from Proxus. Very good transaction and everything was perfect!
