Does anyone else get air out the defrost ducts (windshield) during Auto Mode on the Climate control

Here are the diagrams....

To get to the cup holder first pull the trim off from over the switches and cup holder. It pulls out towards you horizontally.
You should be able to see how the cup holder is held in place, if not you could remove the radio to see more. I think there are probably tabs on each side that need to be released in order to get the unit to slide out. I can't recall if there are any screws involved but I don't think there are.
