Default Does anyone have the GRAY premium rubber floor mats?

Those pictured are CLAY (on a beige leather interior) and I was wondering if the GRAY mats were a better match to the dash trim color?

Any pictures?

Default Actually. . .

I have the black ones with the Platinum "A4" logo. It works PERFECTLY in my patinum interior.

I think youre always better off with a stark contrast on the rubber mats, than trying to match the colors.

And like Big D says, the gray ones are a bitch to keep from staining.

Agreed, like my wife said, you don't want to mute the interior.

Default What do the gray ones look like?

The Audi Collection site does not provide a picture of all 3 colors. Is it the same gray that is on the dash trim? Darker? Why do they stain? Isn't that the point of buying the rubber ones?

Default No - the point of the rubberones are . . .

. ..to protect the carpet below from dirt/moisture.

FYI - the only color heavy duty rubber floormats should ever be are black - -they are not fashion statements, they are functional.

Default did anyone "remove" the carpet mats before putting on the rubber

i know there are mat hooks to lock it in place but you could still put the mats on without "hooking" them in...

Default why?

Why wouldnt you want to anchor them down - -what would be the point of keeping the carpeted mats underneath?

Not to mention, it's not recommended - they can slip if not anchored.

Default I agree with your first point, but...

...I still they should look good. I think that they added a nice accent to the interior aside from their fuctionality.

As many of the Audi owners here are, I too am rather **** and just want to be sure that another color would not have been a better choice.

That dash color looks gray to me, and if the gray mats match it, it would still provide the contrast I want but still "go" with the rest of the interior.
