Default Does anyone know how much the ignition coils should cost from the dealer? Clair (more)

said $91.50 plus shipping, but I thought it had been estimated at $60 from the dealer previously...

Default Theres some aftermarket ones that look interesting...

If stock are a problem anyway, why not upgrade?

Default That's a good very point. Why don't we just buy an improved aftermarket...

ignition coil & forget about the fear of Coil pack failing? i mean how much do they cost? $100-200 ? at least you get a peace of mind

Default Because there's no way I'm paying $590 to $800 for those Plasma coil things (more)

The pricing chart shows it's about $589 for a 4 cylinder coil on plug 1.8T, or it goes up to $800+ for 6 cylinder engines with coil on plug designs like my 3.0.

Default Just as a followup, that must be the 1.8T coil's price, as it seems the 3.0 coils cost much more (m)

someone from here was nice enough to offer to buy me a spare ignition coil from their dealer when they went to buy their's (the dealer only wanted $60 or so), but the 3.0 coil was going to be closer to $130.
