Default Does anyone know what the premier purchase APRs are/were for this month?

I have a friend who did the premier purchase program through Audi/VW Credit. He was approved for standard tier and got a 6.9% rate. He's wondering if that was the going rate or if the dealer still made a point off him. They originally wanted 7.9% from him. Thanks.

6.9%? Sounds high. Did he compare with local credit unions/banks?

Default A Premier Purchase is like a lease, but the car gets put in the customer's name.

Some states have some crazy lease/insurance laws that make liability and expenses too high for conventional leases. Not available in many states

From AoA:

Premier Purchase: Why Premier Purchase?

* Lower monthly payments
* More car for the money
* The opportunity to build equity with every payment
* You're the registered owner of your Audi

Purchase or Lease? The Best of Both Worlds. So, what is this plan? You know about owning. You've read about leasing. But which is best for you? The Premier Purchase® Plan gives you the benefits of both. This innovative program is actually a fixed-rate retail financing plan. With a twist. The car is registered to you, titled in your name and every payment you make builds equity. So where does the leasing come in?

Here's How It Works Like leasing, your monthly payment is figured only on the portion of your car that you use during the term. Terms can be from 12 to 48 months. You make a down payment and enjoy your new or pre-owned Audi, paying lower payments than you would with conventional financing. The final payment is a balloon amount that is predetermined at the beginning of the contract.

As that balloon payment comes due, you have three choices.

1. You can pay off the contract balance and keep or sell the car.
2. You can refinance the final balance with Audi Financial Services.
3. You can return your car. Just notify us 30 days prior to the contract end date and make arrangements to turn in your car. Excess wear and tear or mileage charges may apply.

Additional Options You can customize this plan, as you do with a lease, with more or less mileage than the standard 15,000 miles per year. Just choose the option that suits you. Part of the benefits of leasing. Part of the benefits of owning. All of the advantages of an Audi. That's the Premier Purchase® Plan, where the only way you can't go is wrong.

The APR is also based on a person's good credit (or bad credit).

Yes, which is why I said he was approved at standard tier.
