Default Depends on who makes it and how it is installed - as far as I know it takes some adjustments before
it will stop setting the CEL light off.

Ahhh...Does it decrease performance at all? Compared to a BPV?

i think our cars are made for BPV/DV. Rice rockets are better off with BOV. and yes it does decrease performance but sound should be great they said.
