Are you serious? Why is this not common knowledge?

Default I've paced my odometer against roadside km markers, looks good (m)

It seems to measure 100.5km for every actual 100km. So by the end of my lease, 90000km, I'll be over by 450km; not perfect but MUCH better than speedo. By the way, I've done this test at different speeds, continuous and varied (I have a lot of time on my hands on road trips

Odometer reflects the true distance traveled. Speedometer is less than accurate.

You've also got 18" wheels. For a difference that small, 17s or 16s might have better results.

Default Yes, that's what I chalk it up to. I'm not worried about it.

The speedo problem, on the other hand, makes me really angry every time I think about it. Car is going back in shortly to look for some squeaks, going to bring it up again and go pace it against something like a Cavalier (which has a surprisingly accurate speedo) and use a GPS to demonstrate the inaccuracy to them; even if it can't be fixed, I at least want them to take note of it! I'll also demonstrate the trip computer average speed trick.
