I got this email regarding my wheels. Makes me a bit nervous because this guys english is terrible, but, cashiers checks are like cash correct? As long as I throw it in the bank and it clears I would be alright hypothetically, right?:

my friend was sellin his civic for 19k and the seller said he was in ghana and was going to send a check for 23k and his friend needed 4k to ship it. Their plan was to get the 4k before the check cleared then leave. no intention of taking the car what so ever. he was reported to the fbi by the bank. The funny part was that the fed-ex in which the check was in was from kentucky.

I think he was in NJ selling wheels and the dude was coming from Ohio to pick them up. Don't remember his post name or when he posted it, probably about six months ago or so. There are scams people.
