My 02 A4 (B6 Platform) quattro started acting up this weekend (all of these issues started all at once). All of the interior lights stay on, even after all doors are closed and the car is locked. Turning the main interior light switch from the middle (operated by door switch) position to the off position turns them all off. The rear left window will not operated with either of the two switches. The alarm also does not set and the all window up/down key feature no longer works. Sometimes the interior light and left rear window problem goes away for a while, but then they come right back. The alarm and window up/down key feature problems are constant.
I have checked for moisture in the car from plugged sun roof drains, but it is dry as a bone.
Anybody have any ideas?

Everything but the windows points to the "door closed switch". I put that in quotes becuase I am not sure what you call it. Anyway, it is the switch in the door jam area that tells the car the door is closed.

The door switches are functioning properly, as the dashboard display indicates when ever one is open and does not indicate an open one when they are all closed.

Turns out that the main ground wire broke inside the boot at the door hinge. Of course Audi told me it was a bad door control module and now I have to resell it on ebay, after having it not fix the problem.

My 2002 A6 3.0Q started developing the same problem. Right now, it's still intermittent. Sometimes when I was on my way home, the light will suddenly come on and stay on (front and rear dome lights in the cabin, the light switch is in middle position). There is no way other than turn them off positively. Even I locked the car, it will stay on. But if I parked the car for awhile, then the lights started working fine for a couple of days.
Any idea what is this and how to fix it? I have no plan to sell it right now. Thanks.

That is exactly what happened. It was a broken ground wire in the left rear door boot. It was an intermittent problem at first and then it completely separated. A cheap fix once diagnosed.
