Default Doors not Locking - Comfort Control Module Location - in Floor or Under Dash?

I have door not locking issues and I am reading the module is under the dash and then some people say under the carpet. Can someone clear this up for me?

VAG COM tells me this, if anyone could find it in their heart to tell me what this mess means. I see low voltage to the unit.. Makes me think maybe wiring, not the actual module needs replacing? Thanks!

I read it somewhere before that its under a carpet under driver seat. There was a DIY on how to replace it and Vagcom to retrofit b7 v2.0 into b6 (which is the same but different version or something like that)

Would read through the other thread going on right now "fault codes please help" with similar problem and wasn't the CCM.

So is getting to it a matter of just taking off the trim on the door sill and peeling up the carpet?

I thought its more as pulling the seat back and peeling off the carpet. There is a DIY with pictures somewhere, ill try to find it.

Yeah, that is about a harness problem. I had one broken wire and replaced the harness. Didn't fix it..

I don't have any direct experience with CCMs, but understand the 02 had a unique CCM, so make sure you note that if you decide to replace.
