Dreaded ABS Control Problem!
ABS warning light is flashing... I paid for a diagnostic ?47 and was told it couldn't communicate and I need a new ABS computer.
I've read loads about this fault and bought an OBD2 cable so I can diagnose it myself (no way am I paying for a new part at ?400!)
Even though the faults are as described in other posts, I can get the fault to go away by wiggling the ABS pump wire underneath the unit, at which point VAG-COM can communicate and everything checks out fine.
Just wondered if anyone had problems with this pump cable corroding. I am going to investigate further tommorow - if it is simply a bad connection I wonder how many people garages rip off with the "Oh, it's a common fault on these Audi's" line!
