So my car has about 3000 Miles on it. I drive it regularly pretty hard but not for prolonged periods of time. Last weekend my father came for visit and we drove from Vancouver to Seattle. He was driving of course; now the thing is that is used to an engine that redlines at 8000RMP so he drove my poor baby at over 4000 (mostly 5-6K range) almost the whole way.
Now the interesting thing is the engine is now really feeling looser and free revving. I am quite happy with the results of his "abuse".
So if yours is broken in drive it hard and long. This engine will reward you for your effort.

105 MPHS.. The car is made to go at those speeds for prolonged times. What would you do if you had drive in the Autobahn? Plus at 3000 miles the car is pretty much broken in. And you are right.. the car at 3000 miles feels soooo much smoother and more powerfull. I love my 1.8T

I noticed in the manual they state you shouldn't start your car until you are ready to drive. I just though this was weird. A cooworker states that the turbo needs to warmup before moving. Drive it like you stole I
