Default That relates to the ECU if I am not mistaken.

How long ago did you have your chip put in. Pretty sure others had the code and had to send the ECU back to the tuner where they got their chip.

Yup I read that somewhere as well, I was afraid it was the ECU. Looks like a reflash is in order.

Well, I hope GMP can do a reflash. I'd rather not have it sent! Any mods for you in the near future? Keep in touch.

Default Yeah.. actually thinking about the chip in the netx month and then thinking of going w/ ..

Thermal Exhuast...after that...I have another question...are those coil packs very fragile? I just changed my plugs and was just curious on how tender I need to be w/ them?? Yeah I think GMP can take care of you....Also, I am meeting Sol Park (Oenophile) at GMP I think on Friday to pick up some oil...What are you up to lately?

So are you going APR or MTM (Dahlback)? As far as the coils are concerned, IMHO I think you need to treat them with some care. The housing insulation is that thing that's failing, but the new ones should last a bit longer than the older ones (the new series are marked with "L").

Who's doing your exhaust when you get it? Street or race?

Default ok..

I was originally going to go w/ dahlback...until I ran into Kay Kelly at Wetterauer. She is gonna hook me up with a Wett chip for like half the cost of the dahlback....Even though I would really like to the dahlback chip...the money factor is really pulling towards getting wett. And realistically....at a rating of 205hp and 248lbs of torque...why not..I saw a dyno chart of wheel hp and tq on a 1.8t with a wett chip and he had about 178hp and 198lbs of tq.. not too bad...

Now for the exhaust...I am looking into getting the thermal r&d. I have heard good things about all the exhaust. Miltek is sorta like dahlback -->good stuff but dang $$$$$. I would like a little more sound than the apr. Your exhaust looks sweet as h*ll and sounds pretty good..I don't know...I would probably doing the install myself (maybe) I like doing that kinda stuff but if the fitment is an issue, well off to the muffler shop. Do you know anything about the new audi performance exhaust..how it sounds and performs? You think you are gonna be able to meet Friday at GMP?

Well, with my APR on the blink you might be good to go with Wett. I'd do some searching on AW about them just to get an idea of others' experiences.

Haven't seen or heard anyone with the new OEM performance exhaust. I think it's made here in the US however, can't remember the maker's name off hand.

Sorry, can't make it Friday, but let me know when you're meeting next.

Ciao
