Default Dumb question: Are Bi-Xenons both low beam and high beam xenons?

I've noticed on Bi-Xenon equipped cars that the projector is bigger and there is still a halogen bulb for the high beam function.

What exactly does the bi-xenon do? Will it turn on when you turn your high beams on so you'll have both the halogen high beam and the xenon high beam on?

Default no...this is my understanding of it

in the bi-xenon lights, there is still a halogen high beam and xenon low beam. when you flash your brights, only the halogens light up. if you have your lights on and you turn your high beams on, not only do the halogens light up, but a reflector angles the xenon low beams differently so that some of the xenon beam works with the halogen beam to further light up your way....thus, bi-xenons aren't true dual xenon lights, but xenons are still somewhat used with high beams

Default biXenon means it uses a solenoid actuated blinder

the blinder changes beam pattern by opening up more of the lens to allow light to pass at a previously blocked angle.

BiXenon does not double the lumens produced by the lamps.

Having low and high beam Xenon lamps does double the lumens, and makes for quite the lighting experience... because damn 11200 lumens is a lot especially when normal low beam halogens are sub 3000.

I have 3 xenon lamps in my A4... both lows and my right side high beam. A single xenon high beam is amazing.

Default depends tho...

some new cars have bixenons that angle up the lowbeam xenon to act as highbeams, as well as immediate xenon for flashing too... new technology is great, so now there is actual true bixenon lights.
