Never heard of the 110. How is it different from the 710N?

Default I have used the 110 for over 20K and haven't had a problem,

I would say save the money and get the 110, For 2 reasons.
1. you can't really tell the difference between DV.
2. IF it goes you can buy 2-3 for the price of one of the others.

Default Here's info. from MTM. Not exactly the same BPV. They like the sport 110...

Early production vehicles had a Bosch bypass valve with the number ending in 108 or Audi 710A which due to problems would eventually be superceded by a Bosch 114 or Audi 710N. This valve was far better in performance but still not completely reliable especially under modified conditions.

MTM did extensive research on various bypass valves for their 400 -500HP kits and came up with the Bosch Sport Valve 110 being the best in performance and durability, even over more expensive aftermarket valves. At JHM we also tested various options and concur with MTM's findings. With the Bosch Sport Valve the boost recovery and throttle response are enhanced significantly and since it is dimensionally the same as the original the installation is simple.

Default Good reasons..... which I have considered...

Still, the materials/build come into play. I know that being able to tell the difference between different DV's is hard. But between the OEM on my VW 1.8t and the TurboXS RBV-25; it was very noticeable. You would also not be able to really tell if your DV was losing it's hold of the boost if it was doing this slowly and over a long peroid of time. I think the OEM might be more prone to this though.

Default Thanks.

FWIW, I have had the 710N (TT225) for 31k+ chipped miles. Unless the car making 400hp, which it's nowhere near that, the 710N will work just fine. I can't see myself spending $140+ on a BPV.

BTW, were you at/close to the Corral at Sebring? I was there all weekend, I saw some of your pics. Sorry we didn't get to meet. Maybe at the next Club meeting.

Default I looked for your car, but didnt see it. Yeah, I was sitting on top of that RV drinking beers...

all day. I became a permanent fixture. The view was so good and the beer was hitting the spot. It was a great vacation from work. I came off the roof to say hello to Christian and I talked to Mike Hoppen for a bit, but everyone else seemed to be doing thier own thing, so I did the same. Sorry I missed you.

Default im probably gonna sell my forge...and you can contact me at...

fongaroos@yahoo.com or my aim: fongaroos
its a practically brand new DV and the only thing that i can see wrong with it is that there are tiny scratches when i was installing it. but its so far down in the engine bay that you wont notice the scratches anyways...
the scratches were from the screwdriver when i was tightening the clamps to hold it in place. great DV but i think i want a hybrid DV/BOV thats why im selling it. if you're interested in a PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW (only used for a week) FORGE 007 DV then drop me a line...

Default It was in front of the yellow B5 in your Primary Colors pic.

You can see a piece of the rear bumper in that pic.
