Refresh EuroDan's post with pic above, I think he updated it to show the housing. Nice picture.

If you don't take the rear elec. windows, yes. Remember...everything is an option here.

Default Reminds me of playing "whats different in this picture" in the Audi magazine

looks like the driver only gets control of the front windows?? EuroDan please respond to the question regarding the selector switch to the right of the light switch with 1,2 on it. Love the head light assembly.

Default Re: any idea how much just the headlamp body is?, and if it will work with the rest of the US spec X

I've seen discussion of the housing without the xenon guts being $450-500 (I think). There is some modification necessary to make it work together, see link. If you search you will find a few posts regarding shops in the U.S. that have them for sale.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/27728.phtml</a

Default Interesting,,in NA we cann't be allowed to control when the fog light is on

We get low beam lights must be on to allow fogs to work. Euro's get to choose fogs and two light settings manually based on driving conditions. what a novel concept.

Default Actually, you mean in the U.S., not NA. In Canada, the fogs are on by default as DRL's. (more)

And by default, they turn off when the low-beams are turned on.

Another turn of the dial enables both fogs and low's.

Default

You need a VAG tool, then you can tweak your car into whatever country behavior you desire

Default Very interested in the differences between (dot) halogens and ecode xenons

The light output and pattern will obviously be a massive improvement, but I'm more interested in the light systems themselves.

Especially where Audi leaves the ballasts and extra hardware compared to halogens. Could you please take some detailed before-after pics of the systems/housing/hookup, whatever you call it?

Thanks, m8.

Default indeed it is, we wernt going to get rear elecs, but decided to take a car from the lot with

virtually what we wanted, discount and "on the spot."
(If you consider thinking about a new car for 4 years on the spot lol )
