Default ECU

Will the ECU from a tip. work in my 5spd, they are both 2002 1.8T quattro.

It would work...but you would need to bring it to the dealer to have it keyed to work with your car

Default APR could not do it because of the immobilzer. A special Audi SKC code is needed

Dealers aren't too keen on doing ECU swaps for people, so I don't know if you will find a dealer to do it for you.

Default No it would not work....m...

The ECU has trans code in it, being from an auto, and so with so many features missing from the manual, you'll get all sorts of error codes.

In fact, you can probably start the engine (once the anti-theft was matched), but not much else.

If it was my car, I wouldn't even attempt this.

FWIW: I'm an ECU design manager with ten years experience in powertrain module design.
