My 2003 A4 convertible won't lock on the remote and when I lock it on the key the boot locks but not the doors and the alarm don't set. When I push the unlock button on the remote the indicators flash but it don't unlock and when I push the lock button the indicators don't flash and all that locks is the boot. But this drains the battery

Try programing your key to your car again. Put the key in the ignition, turn it to the point it won't start the car, leave it in there for about 5 seconds and press the lock button on it. Turn the car off and try locking it now.
