Default Updated info. After warming car up. Heat operates great on med fan and Hi temp.

gauge fluxuates between mid and 1/4 temp on the gauge. i didn't get into the boost, tried to keep out of the boost as much as possible. i was also told i should log channel 004 and 005 to see the temps.

Default Yes, it could be a stuck tstat, if it is stuck in a position that allows the ECU to go closed loop,

there may be no CEL. But I predict there will be a DTC having to do with Mapped cooling fault.

Default Just pulled the data log. No DTC's on the ECU or Cluster.

I drove around and the temp stayed pretty constant at middle of the gauge. it didn't swing like earlier. I had my wife doing logs so we could look when we got home. Coolant temp ranged from 100deg to 96deg.

Default 96 C to 100 C is normal temp range, what ever the snag was, it is intermittent, or

"fixed" itself.

Default I ordered a new greentop and will replace it next week when i get back from vacation

i get nervous when things 'fix themselves'. Thanks for your help. I may also replace the other sensor in the bottom of the radiator next month if the greentop doesn't solve it and it comes back. I was looking at it last night and i may actually have a black sensor in there, not a green one.
