Default ESP/MLA warning lights

Have an 03 A4 with the 3 l. engine. Randomly, the ESP light comes on when I accelerate or downshift or make a fast turn, for no reason that I can see (the roads are dry), with immediate loss of power. Been to the dealer twice, they always say that they have the problem licked but then 2 days later, the problem is back. Anybody having experienced the same problem? Thanks.

Default Are you sure it's a problem?

When ESP kicks in, the light blinks on the dashboard. If you're driving aggressively enough, power does get cut, as part of ESP's strategy to get the vehic back "in control"...

if for any reason one of your wheels slip, it will flash. Could also be ABS related.

Yes, it is a problem because a couple of times the driver behind me almost rear-ended me wondering what the heck I was doing. It even happened as I was leaving my garage one morning in a straight line at 10 mph. This is irritating.

Start at the green light and about 20 or 30 yards later the light comes on with power loss. I forgot to mention that once the power is reduced, it stays that way until I pull over, turn off the engine, wait a few seconds and re-start. And that does not always work.

Default You definitely have a bug of some sort. I can't think of anything at the moment right now that...

would cause your car to lose power and flash the traction light. sorry.
