Regular everyday driving won't need ESP to kick in.

Default It never really goes off anyway, there is a default level of operation for safety.

Default Huh? Seriously, does ESP off actually increase acceleration for a 1.8T?

Never thought it could make that much of a difference. Is that why a Corolla can beat me?

Default I don't man. Last week I lost control in the snow and started sliding towards another car waiting

to turn on to the street I was travelling on. All of a sudden ESP kicked in and completely turned the car in the direction I was turning the wheel. And I didn't have it locked! It was like something picked the car up and turned (of course the car didn't leave the ground, but you know what I mean!)
