honestly i got some cheap alternatives (SEARCH) that work just as fine. kynar ones. still have them in the car. i did replace the one right before the purge valve with factory since i wanted to rule out kynar valve.

just make sure the purge valve passes no air when powered off, you can use a 9V or power supply to power it one and then blow through it.

dealer replaced canister/purge valve.. something ike $325 (before i knew better)

so it shouldn't allow air to pass either direction off, 9v batt and air both ways?
