No. you now need the little plastic tag with the code that came from the factory.

Audi keys online

I got one at keyfobs.com. Have to get it programmed at Audi dealer as the 2014 A5 will not allow enduser programming. Will be doing it next week and let you know if it works. Greatly reduced price and was assured by them it would be a match.
