Since I parked the car this afternoon, a small, fairly loud fan is coming on and off. It's not the radiator fans, I'm sure. It's to the left of the engine bay, near or under the air box. I didn't think there were any fans there. Can someone clue me in?

Reading the other thread I think it's the secondary air pump.
Just found another thread that's probably the same problem:

I think I'll disconnect the battery until the morning so it doesn't get run down.

So the secondary air pump was running on and off all day since yesterday (as long as the battery is connected). When I got into the ECU compartment and pulled out all the relays and plugged them back in, it stopped. I'm totally confused. Car never threw a code the whole time, before or now.
373 is the relay I want (it's the only one that fits the 141951253B part). So I'll replace it anyway and cross my fingers.
Unless anyone has a better suggestion? If SAI doesn't come on when the car is cold, it'll kill the cat...

I believe your diagnosis is spot on. Fairly common problem. All I would add is could it be caused by water damage (rusty or corrded terminals)? If so, check your drain under the ECU, clean out the debris under the ECU, or look at the seal on the ECU cover. The picture looks clean, but wasn't sure if that was actually your car...

373 was a bum relay, for sure. Car's been fine since I put everything back together.
Pic is from my car. Happy to report the ECU box was bone dry and all relays looked good.
I should note that part 141951253B was superseded, should someone find this thread later. I used it anyway.
