For those of you who have special-ordered your A4s... how long did it take?

Let's say I wanted cloth seats and the factory sunroof. Can I special order one this way? Per US specs, the only way to get the sunroof is to get the premium package on a 1.8TQ for 2004. Obviously I would be ordering a 2005.

Many thanks in advance! My local dealership wasn't real sure on the answers and I figured that this forum is probably the best place to find out!

I placed order on May 15 (for a 2005). It was being loaded on the boat on June 11. It should be ready for me by the end of July. Dealer says it's about 75 days +/- from order to delivery (about right).

I asked about getting Leather seats with no sunroof and they wouldn't do it. I asked about grey paint with blue seats (1.8T), and they wouldn't do that, either. I asked about moro blue with vanilla seats, no-go again. I asked for 3.0 with Xenon's but no other premium stuff, guess what they said? I'm thinking whatever they have on their price list is what you can get. You CAN get special paints that are only available on the S4. Amulet red and Nagaro blue were $1700 options.

My advice is that it can't hurt to at least ask.

Hmm... I guess I'll just buy dealer stock then. I'll ask, for sure, but I wondered if anyone had done it...

Here's what I was hoping for:

1.8TQM
-Sunroof
-Auto dimming mirror w/compass
-Seat heaters
I figured that not only would that lower the price dramatically, but it would leave me with a unique A4 that's exactly what I wanted.
