Default Few questions...these cars still take Pentosin 11S, right? Also, having issues reading oil level...

and not because the darker colored plastic at the end but somehow when I pull the dipstick out its wet on the bottom, showing oil at the minimum, but the ball on top is also wet, yet the area inbetween is bone dry. What gives? Just changed the oil and filter, drained it all well, put new OEM filter on there and added 6qts...it was showing at the minimum...I add another .3 and now it reads as I described....its weird...there is definetely 6.3L even in there but dipstic doesn't cooperate.

I'll be flushing my PS fluid too so I'm asking if 11s is still used by Audi. If you guys now how many litres i need that would help too.

Trans flush in a month or so, but I'll leve that for professionals I guess.

Default Thanks. I will be flushing the whole system...

which means evacuating ALL the fluid from the system - not just the reservoir...usually ~2 bottles is enough to fill afterwards.

There is something you can use that is CHEAPER than Pentosin CHF 11S. VW dealers sell a product that is an Audi-VW genuine part: Oil for Hydraulic systems and power assisted steering. It comes in a white plastic bottle. This product says right on it that it is Pentosin, but..and here's the good part...it about $6-9 dollars cheaper per liter. I paid $16.50 for a liter instead of $25.00 for the green can.

Does anyone else know about this stuff
