Default Finally happened! F**king coil pack went out today.

22,000 miles on 1.8t A4. Was able to make it to dealer 35 miles away. Dealer said it may be up to two weeks before they have my car back to me. Chances of door dings and scratches from being parked at dealership concern me. What a bummer!

Default Each engine cylinder has its own ignition coil (coil pack). They fail frequently on the '02s.

When one fails, that cylinder no longer gets a spark for ignition and so the following happens:

Here's a picture of what they look like (click link):<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/157545.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/157545.phtml</a</li></ul>
