Default for the first 10-15 min, i purposely run on no boost , is this in anyway bad? (More)

i have a boost guage...i do this until my oil is warm. i never let the needle on the boost guage pass zero. is this how i should be driving? or am i damaging the engine in anyway or the longevity?

or is it okay to run on boost even when you just turned on your car and the oil is still cold? i heard that if you run boost when your oil is not warm enough is bad, so i always keep the boost below the zero mark...is this okay or what?

Default Just wait for the temp gauge to register about half way, if its hot out only wait a minute or two

and you should be fine.

Default I think that it is more...

important to let the oil pressure stablelize then to let the oil warm up, but, at the same given time, while the pressure is leveling, it is warming up. I remember reading that after an oil change on a turboed car, when you restart the car, let the oil pressure stabilize (let the motor idle a few seconds) before driving it like mad. Also, to pre-fill the oil filter as much as possible on a turboed car helps prevent premature wear upon starup after an oil change.

With synthetic oils now at 0w and 5w, I wouldn't be too concerned about letting the oil get up to temperature. These oils flow very well at "cold" temps as well as normal operating temps.

Please correct me if I am wrong. It's only what I've read so far.
