Default First Service at 5K

FYI regarding my first service. It went well. I had the oil changed and received a $15 discount for some reason. Also had hood sound proofing replaced (mine was defective), auto door lock activated, and the remote window feature activated. The service was great, but it took 2 hours.

Where are you located? Confused by the $15 discount, since you shouldn't have had to pay anything for service in the first place, if you're in the U.S. (scheduled maintenance is free for four years).

The autolock and remote window features are definitely nice - enabled them with my VAG-COM the day after I got the car. Still debating on whether to enable the foglight without headlights option...

Default Yes, I'm in the US, but

apparently the "free" service is at 10K intervals and I wanted to do an oil change at 5K. They said the next one is free. I had read that you couldn't activate the window feature in the States due to safety reasons, but they assured me it was ok. That would be cool to have the VAG-COM tool. Maybe one day...

How do I get my auto door lock activated and the remote window feature activated? I'm taking my car in tomorrow for an air conditioning problem. Sounds like a neat feature?

Default www.obdtool.com is NOT for VAG-COM!

VAG-COM is by Uwe Ross and the address for it is www.ross-tech.com. It can do MUCH more with VW/Audi cars than an OBD II scanner can.

Default My US service manual has a 5K service coupon

Might call AoA on being charged for your 5K service. You may be due some money back.

Default Sorry I didn't reply back.

The dealer did it for me without charge. I'm sure they're are other options I'd be interested in, but I didn't have the list and I was in a hurry.
