Default First set of BKR6Es....

Just came back from the long weekend. Took a drive from Boston to D.C. and back (more on that in another post). I didn't get a chance to change the plugs before leaving, which was alredy 5k miles on them. Added another 1000 miles onto them so these plugs you're about to see have 6k miles on them.

I'm not sure how to tell what they're suppoes to look like because these are my first set but someone or people who have changed these out before tell me how they did?

Replaced them in about 10 minutes and started her up. Car was nice and smooth, reving the engine was smooth and silky.

Default very nice. were you running stock plugs before now?

i just installed the 7E's 2000 miles ago. the 6E's are supposed to be a colder plug, meaning they perform better in warmer weather. so I think I'll go with them in a couple thousand miles as it never gets below 30 degrees F around here.

Default Yup, before these they were stock plugs. I actually think the 7Es are one step colder while the

6Es are same heat range as stock. I didn't go 7Es because it gets pretty cold here in winter.

Default try no flash, ambient well lit, close-up (macro) mode to show us those pics.

way too small.

from what i see very little rounding which is where you'd see the wear.

the white/ashy is from running them too lean or hot

Default I also thought the higher the number, the colder the plug, so 7E is colder than 6E

Is that wrong?

Default Most recommend the BKR6Es, which I am running. I find them to be smooth, no hesitation,

smooth acceleration. You can feel the difference over stock platinum plugs. If you don't live in colder climates, people have been running the 7Es but I think if you just have GIAC with K03, the 6Es will be fine.

If I have a stock 1.8tq what kind of plugs should I use? How often to change?
