FMIC (or dual side ICs) or exhaust...what kind of gains can be expected from each?

Assuming chip and K&N are the only performance mods on the car at the time. I hear only minimal gains from an exhaust, but really have no idea what a FMIC or dual side ICs can do. Any info is appreciated...thanks.

for more consistent power, even after hard running. An exhaust can get you up to 15bhp and 25lb/ft (That's Thermal race, ask Eurocode for Dyno charts).

but living under the Florida sun year-round, it seems like an intercooler would be more beneficial for me. I'm sure Thermal race is powerful, but I'm all about the "sleeper" look (and sound), so that's really not a system I'm considering. Do you have any opinions on FMIC vs. dual SMIC? Obviously the SMICs would be more stealthy, but not sure about pressure loss or any other factors that may make a systems like that less desirable.

you're not going to see too much of a FMIC behind a stock bumper and grill anyway. What exhaust did you go with?

stock SMIC. Cooler air permits more timing and alternatively boost. As for heatsoak you should drive your car in the summer sometime at a high speed and come to a stop and check the intercooler core temp, it's not as hot as you'd imagine. It's mainly just a lack of efficiency that our cars suck in the heat. FMIC designed right WILL provide you the opportunity to make more power

Its a simple funtion of density. Cooler air is denser air and more oxygen molecules in the combustion chamber equals more power (in general). In addition, cooler intake air can allow you to run more timing advance, making even more power. Its not rocket science guys...but I hate seeing people spew off information thats just plain wrong.

without any change in programming will not add power, which is what I was saying, and seems to be what you're saying as well.
