Default Re: If you don't mind the yellow look then get the AdvancedOptik Yellow-Ion bulbs from AmBulbs.com

What exactly is the ups and downs of yellow bulbs vs. the h11 hid look? i was thinking i wanted yellow i thought they worked better in the fog

Default Well, that it. They do work better in the fog.

Plus I like how the yellow offsets the HIDs. IMO matching HIDs with HID look fogs is over played.

Default yellow is easier to see in fog for on-coming traffic, which makes it safer....

they are bright yellow during foggy conditions. Keep in mind not all "yellow" fogs are created equal. Some bulbs are tinted yellow, which actually reduce light output. The Yellow-ion bulbs are not tinted at all. The other main advantage to Yellow is that you get less glare off snow and water.

White and Yellow both will reflect their light off of fog, so the only way to get around this is to have a long flat beam of light.

Default this is what I did

as well as going with some generic "7500K" xenon match "super white" 55W H11s.

I've been pretty happy with the results so far.

An ideal set up would be HID fogs though.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/738866.phtml">click me for Eddieman's foglight DIY</a></li></ul>
