Default foglights...

this situation is really starting to get on my nerves..i go to the dealership and i go to and aftermarket store to as if they can change my freaking headlight system so that i can only have my fogs on with out the actual headlight on..it has to be done some how because my headlight switch allows you to just turn the parking lights on and then you can pull the switch out like you would to turn on the fog lights but they dont turn on...is it maybe somekind of european mod or something...

Default No you can't. That was only available on the 2002 MY. You can turn on DRL's

Which will give you the same affect, but your foglights and taillights will be on every time your turn your car on and you can not turn them off (hence DRL's).

The only B6 that would let you turn on the fogs with the parking lights was the 2002 MY. This was a VAG selectable change. It does nothing on the 2003 and > cars.

DRL's is your only option.

Default What do ecodes have to do with DRL's?

Putting ecodes in your car will not give you the ability to turn on your fogs with parking lights. Ecodes will give you city lights, different headlight focus, and no orange side reflectors.

Please explain what you mean

This is not just a Euro mod. All Canadian A4's come off the boat with DRL's enabled. My point is there is a difference between what can be done on the 2002 B6 and the rest of the B6's. In the 2002 you could mod with a Vag to allow you to turn on fog with the parking lights on. You could turn them on and off with the headlights switch. That same mod is not available on 2003 or >. The only thing avaiable is to enable DRL's which give you fogs all the time (if you light it or not), this is a difference from the 2002 model year. People don't make this clear when they say you can do it. Yes, you can but you will have DRL's.

Default like thus....

but i have an 02

but as stated above this is a 2002 A4 thing only and/or a Canadian thing via DRLs...

but just because a cars switch can do something doesn't always mean it does.
