right, what i'm saying is that the people with 2003+ cars don't really have a choice...
and the best ALTERNATIVE to the stock DRLs is using Ecodes and using LEDs...IMHO they look much better and give much more of the desired effect

OK, I see what you're saying, but I don't know if I agree
I think the city lights look pretty cool imo, but I think people who want the parking light fog light look will not think the city lights are the same. I've never been a fan of the parking light with fog light thing. Maybe when I was 17, I thought it was cool, but now I think the people on see on the road at night like that in their Pontiac or IROC's are just a bunch of dorks.
I never use my fogs lights unless it's foggy. I do like the look of the city lights though. I had ecodes on my B5, but I never wired the city lights up.

I like the look of just fog lights on....
i always have some form of my lights on... mainly just because i want my dash lit up... and if im gonna have my running amber lights on.. might as well have the fogs on

That's fine... it's not for me. I imagine you turn your headlights on when it gets dark?
I laugh it the people that are driving around in the dark with just fogs and parking lights on. They can hardly see the road, but they look cool (in their own head).
