I know that you get what you pay for, but are forged wheels a waste of money for a street car?

I always thought that they would be worth it because they are stronger, but after discover that most 2 and 3 piece forged wheels have cast barrels (hence people still bending their lips), i've been begining to think otherwise.

If you get 18's or 19's, they would most likely be as light or lighter than your stock rims, which definitely helps out in the acceleration dept. If you upgrade your wheels and they are heavier than stock, you're car will feel slow accelerating in traffic or from a stop. I think my CH's are about the same weight as the stock 17's but the 19" tires are heavier, which is why I feel that my car has become slower.
