I rolled it down a bit, but it was going down kind of randomly, and it seemed to struggle going up.I kept playing with it and basically the window is now all the way down leaving my front passenger side window completely open. Is this common at all? I assume its an electric problem..

It could be the regulator inside the door. The steel cable frays and then begins to bind. I've already had to replace the one on the driver side and will be doing the same on the passenger side soon. You may have to pull the door panel off and manually raise the window.
