Default Fuel Cap... fix. How many of you have done the same?

The idea to keep fuel cap on a leash is older than me, and is implemented in other cars...

Does anyone know why *our* car does not come with *that* from the factory??? There is even a hole in the fuel door!

And also: how many of you have done something similar?

Default Great idea but it may just scruff the paint if it dangles too close to the body.

Many times I have almost walked away without retrieving the cap from the top of the pump station where I put it while filling...

It has slots where you can hang it on the fuel door. Those work for me.

Sure, that's what I use normally too. But I also tied it so I don't accidentally drop it into dirt

What? There's a slot for the cap? Oy, one new thing after another!

Default LOL... here it is -- complete setup for fueling :)

The cap has two slots to rest it on the open fuel door. The string is to avoid dropping it on the ground.

Default That is so cool! I don't need to leave the cap elsewhere anymore...

and run the risk of leaving it behind. Perhaps I'll give that string a try too. Thanks, a4elias!

Oh, another thing that made me jump up and down like a little kid just yesterday after almost a month were the dimming interior lights that when set to neutral position will gradually illuminate when key is removed from ignition and fade away when car is locked! I thought it was mana from heaven; I almost burst into tears!!
