funky Bose Symphony II volume ****

Frequently, when I turn the volume **** 1 notch down, LCD volume display show it not moving or going up 1 notch.

What's wrong with my volume ****?

Any way to easily fix it? Will it get worse?

sounds like the sensor behind the dial

That detects the movement, is going fubar. i'd start looking for a used/refurbished one.
