Default FYI, Audi Catback exhaust for 1.8t and 3.0......

Hello Tom,

Thank you for inquiring about the Catback Exhaust System for your 2003 A4.
This is not a product that our catalog or web-site currently offers. We are
working on exhaust systems (cat back) for the A4 1.8 and 3.0 quattro and
FronTrack model year 2002 and newer.

Unfortunately, the products have not come available when promised and we are
hurrying to get the systems to market.

Preliminary independent testing nominal torque and HP gain (<2HP) but the
torque curve have moved lower on the rev range. We caution though that
individual results will vary greatly base on car, fuel, mileage, atmospheric
conditions etc. Pricing is expected to be under $1,000 USD and is covered
by a limited lifetime warranty.

The Audi system DOES NOT include the down pipe. Our system is: 1 to 2
middle mufflers, and two rear mufflers.

You will find some photos in the attachment below.

If you have any questions regarding Audi Collection merchandise, feel free
to contact one of our Audi Collection Representatives at 1-888-456-AUDI
9am-9pm Eastern Standard Time.

As always, thank you for choosing Audi Collection.

Default $1000 for <2HP gain? Not worth it IMO

You can better spend your $1000 elsewhere.

Default Very much worth it. No aftermarket exhausts have greater than that...

Unless you chip it or upgrade your turbo. Notice, most exhaust manufacturers tell you +10hp or whatever only when the exhaust is installed on a car that is chipped or has had a turbo upgrade.

1000 for an exhaust that sounds nice, looks good, AND is covered by a warranty? Sounds very reasonable to me. Plus, most dealerships can make you a deal on it.

I think we've discussed this topic many times already.

Default It is not a performance gain, you will NOT feel <2HP

if you want to spend $1000 for a better look, that's one thing, but it is not a performance upgrade at all.

Personally, I really enjoy the sound of my 3.0 exhaust.

I agree, chip is necessary to achieve desired results.

Default It is a performance gain if you are chipped.

No exhaust in the world will give you 10hp if you are not chipped or your turbo is swapped. So for those who are already chipped or those who are planning to chip.. this is a very nice mod.

Default I guess I find it amusing to argue performance when you spend well over $30k on a car that isn't

a performance car to start with.

Default Joe hit the nail on the head...again....

I have had my 04 A4 3.0 Quattro for a little over one month.I did not go to Audi looking for horsepower, especially with the little bit of aftermarket(performance wise)parts for it.I saw it to be a well built, good looking car.I think we pay a lot for what we get in the Audi and Audi has no shame pricing it where they do in the market segment. There are alot of other choices with more power that cost less money.Everyone has a different opinion and reason why they bought their Audi.I have had nothing but compliments on my car so the look is there if that is what you are after. If it turns out to be a fairly trouble free car that will tell me I made the right choice. Eddie.

Default Here's a poll I posted last month; notice that power wasn't a choice
