Default FYI: Dead Red Radio Problem.

Dead Red Radio = Radio that goes blank with the backlights turned on. It will not turn off and must be defused in order to be reset.

Got my radio replaced today. Had a long conversation with one of the tech's and he stated the problem is common and that its a programming/flash board issue on the radio.

Audi is aware of the issue and promises the newer radio's have been "fixed".

Default Has anybody had this happen more than once?

My radio did this back in January, and I reset it. It's been fine ever since. I'm wondering if I should expect it to happen again.

Default honestly, it happened to me once and the month I waited for the new radio went by without a hitch...

I assume it would of lasted a while longer, but since audi is taking a no ?'s asked about replacements.... A new radio never hurts.
