So I have had this Garmin Unit in the carbon fiber mount for almost 2 years now and I am finally posting pics of it for your enjoyment.
I have unhooked my telematics for the time being until i can find a splitter or discover that it is in my car somewhere so that i can enjoy both the navigation and the comfort of OnStar. (if you know anything about said splitter please let me know)

I would take the trim piece off that is above it first, that is also something that you pull, there is a sorta clip in the middle and on each end of the piece but then u just pull on the cup holder and it will come out
